I love how well and just naturally these two fit into our fandom. There are so many fics with them, where they really are together, it makes you believe they really are. Kinda like J2, I suppose. ;)

I'm still kinda stuck with three Chris' songs, that's 'Luckenbach, Texas' (guess why), 'A Different Kind of Knight' and 'American Made'.

btw: You wouldn't happen to have a .mp3 version of "Ballad Of Denim Boy And Grey Girl", would you?
(Look up the number)tringic on August 16th, 2010 09:44 pm (UTC)
I'm just gonna jump in, cause I still had the link open anyway:
"Ballad Of Denim Boy And Grey Girl" is on Steve's album Spot in the corner, which you can download here
Jojo: Jensen - Strumming (gif)jojothecr on August 17th, 2010 11:06 am (UTC)
Ow, I think I love you! Seriously, you're awesome.
Thank you so much!!! 'Spot in the Corner' is definitely my favorite album.

I'm still gonna buy the CD, so I can listen to it in the car, but, right now, .mp3 version is much better. Thank you! :)
(Look up the number)tringic on August 17th, 2010 11:17 am (UTC)
you're welcome! Spot in the corner's my favorite as well - by far - so, yay for good taste! :P
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 19th, 2010 05:27 am (UTC)
You know I wanted Spot In The Corner for Come Around More Alabama, but I gotta say, I love it. Groovin On The Inside will always be my fav for the reasons that it was the album I bought after the concert and because it has some of my fav songs on it, esp Wonder of My World. But Spot In The Corner is def my second fav album now.
(Look up the number)tringic on August 19th, 2010 11:20 am (UTC)
Groovin seems to be everyone's favorite, and musically I really like SITC a lot better, but I get it in your case; sentimental value and all. It's just like that my fav Steve songs are still the ones I heard first - on the "Jensen sings collection" someone once sent me :P - I think they're mostly songs from Rollin' On, actually, which is probably my 2nd fav album... I especially like the Rollin' On version of "Wasted Jamie" a lot better than the one from Groovin.
Oh and just for the sake of completion; let's mention Stripped Down too & say that "Love you or Leave you" is among my favorite songs
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 22nd, 2010 03:56 am (UTC)
First - enlighten me - which ones are the ones Jensen sings on?

Second - Love Me Or Leave Me is my third favorite Steve song ever! When I got Stripped Down, I listened to it at the start of the cd, then I listened to the rest of the cd, then I listened to LMoLM again at the end of the cd, and then one more time. I love that fricking song!
(Look up the number)tringic on August 22nd, 2010 05:24 am (UTC)
ok, I've been told Jensen sings on: Wasted Jamie (Rollin On version), Come Around more Alabama, Rollin On, Hummingbird Billy, Spot in the corner, Where My River Flows & Love You Or Leave You
but TBH, I'm not 100% on one or two of those - Love You or leave you could be him, but I didn't think so... either way, I don't care, cause yeah; AWSOME song!

Oh, and have you heard the version of "I Saw Her Standing There" he did with Roark Critchlow? - it is GLORIOUS in all it's awfulness XD
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 22nd, 2010 05:59 am (UTC)
Yeah, people talk a lot about the album Jensen sings on (by which I think they mean, Rollin On) but other than Wasted Jaime, I've never gotten actual song names for which ones they are. Now that you say Hummingbird Billy though, I actually wondered when I was listening to it. It's the only one where I thought, "Hey is this one of the Jensen songs?" I didn't know Come Around More Alabama was one but I loooove that song, so yay!

I was actually listening to Love Me or Leave Me one day when my mom came over (and she just does this obnoxious thing where she lets herself in and comes wandering into the bathroom where I'm getting ready) and I had that song on full blast and she was like, "Oh, whats this? I like this." My mom - who doesn't like anything I listen to, ever. Four times now, she has found me listening to Steve and been like "Who is this? I like this." and I'm like, "It's Steve Carlson, Mom. Again." That happened back in the day with Matchbox Twenty, she kept hearing my cd or catching them on the radio and going "oh I like this." And then a few years later she buys me this cd of Rob Thomas and says "I saw this guy do a performance on a talk show and I loved his voice and thought you would like it" and I was all, "Mom, this is the lead singer of Matchbox Twenty, that's why you like him." lol. At least she knows what she likes.

"I Saw Her Standing There" he did with Roark Critchlow? - No I have not. Bad, huh? I don't know Roark Critchlow. Is it suppose to be bad on purpose or is Roark Critchlow just bad altogether?
(Look up the number)tringic on August 22nd, 2010 06:21 am (UTC)
Yeah, I'd guess they mean Rollin On too.. And, I think you'll catch Jensen next time on Come Around More Alabama...

*pauses in shock* ok, WEIRD, somewhere on my computer Sexy Back just started playing - out of nowhere! BZUH. *shock over*

LOL at your mom, cause my mom does the same thing! Only with the Rolling Stones; every bloody time she even thinks to ask "what's this?" it's the Stones. every time.

ooh goodie, you have to listen to it! HERE - they did it for some Days thing? some kind of soap-stars-allstars cover album? And it's supposed to be very serious, but man they got Jensen, who can actually sing, & they go and make him breathe like a boyband-boy & do the Paul McCartney "OOOOO" thingie! *shakes head in disappointment*
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 24th, 2010 02:56 am (UTC)

Yeah, you are typing about Jensen Ackles and clearly, your computer is smart.

That song, omg, seriously, why do we all keep Jensen's embarrassing past alive like this? I had to go look up who the guy is and OMG It's Mike #2. Oh Mike #2, why would you do this? Why? And I thought they couldn't get more slash-tastic than the pics of the two of them throwing buckets of water at each other, but...okay, the buckets-o-water pics are still more slashy than this song, but this just adds to it. Watch me pull out my Days of Our Lives hat for a minute - hey, all this time I thought Jensen was sleeping with either guy who played Lucas or guy who played Austen. Clearly, I forgot about Mike #2.

I can't wait to share this awfulness with the sister. She does love her some Eric Brady.
(Look up the number)tringic on August 24th, 2010 05:13 am (UTC)
lol, I now know where the song came from (here) but I still don't know why it started playing on its own.

why do we all keep Jensen's embarrassing past alive like this?
Because we all secretly love it
now lets make it even worse; have you ever heard of Wishbone? I don't remember who told me about it, but it's some tv series about a dog, and Jensen had his first ever role on that show; here's the av proof... (Well, at least he grew up handsome, right? XD)

also; i saw those water throwing pictures in one of your post, but I didn't know that was the guy form the song!
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 28th, 2010 12:16 am (UTC)
Dude - I'm taking this on to our bed, with our boyfriends - see you there.
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 19th, 2010 05:23 am (UTC)
Thanks for covering my back on this, baby! Now, come to bed. Steve and Misha are asking for you.
(Look up the number)tringic on August 19th, 2010 11:23 am (UTC)
*oops* Yeah, mustn't let you guys wait... you'll still have me? *puppy eyes*
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 22nd, 2010 03:58 am (UTC)
you'll still have me?

Always. Ssshh, don't tell casiedearestfic. And don't tell Jared, cuz you know he thinks he dating both Steve AND Misha.
(Look up the number)tringic on August 22nd, 2010 05:34 am (UTC)

Jared's a slut & if he can't keep his boyfriends happy, he shouldn't complain if they'd rather be in your bed; He's ALWAYS allowed to visit, right?
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 22nd, 2010 05:47 am (UTC)
Jared is always welcome to come visit. But he has to sleep on the floor, because there is no way that boy can fit in my bed, even without Misha, Steve, you and me in there with him.
(Look up the number)tringic on August 22nd, 2010 05:57 am (UTC)
aww, poor thing... I'll spend the night on the floor with him; I don't mind, I've done it enough times.

OR you could persuade Jared to arrange a bigger bed for you, of course...
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 22nd, 2010 06:01 am (UTC)
Jared does have money, he should buy me a bigger bed, so his boyfriends will be comfortable here with me. Also, if you slept on the floor with him, it would be a good excuse to just lay on top of him, like Jared could act as your mattress.
(Look up the number)tringic on August 22nd, 2010 06:30 am (UTC)
Also, if you slept on the floor with him, it would be a good excuse to just lay on top of him

MTE! though, I think Jared would rather like the bed option; he's very picky about his pillows & I'm just not big enough *sadface*
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 19th, 2010 05:21 am (UTC)
Yeah, I've gone to the point with Chris/Steve where I wouldn't even blink if I ever found out it was true. I would probably go to my room and jump around for five minutes, just for the fangirl in me, but I wouldn't be surprised really. What? Is my tinhat falling off? lol I don't usually get that convinced about stuff like this, but these two make it far too easy to believe. :)

I'm still kinda stuck with three Chris' songs, that's 'Luckenbach, Texas' (guess why), 'A Different Kind of Knight' and 'American Made'.

Luckenbach, Texas was one I was dying to get my hands on. I'm gonna sound like a total fan-girl novice, but is it one of the songs Jensen sings on? See, I'm still kind of new to the Christian side of this - I've been all "Steve!" for a while now, but "Christian!" has literally been the last three months or so for me. I also wanted Mary Can You Come Outside and Sweet Carolina Rain. But I've discovered a bunch of songs I didn't know about, that I love. Happy Man and Something's Gotta Give (frankly, The Sony Sessions album is quite addictive) and Steve's Spot On album (I was dying to get my hands on Come Around More Alabama.)

btw: You wouldn't happen to have a .mp3 version of "Ballad Of Denim Boy And Grey Girl", would you?

Oddly, that song is playing right now. I love it. God, his voice. I see tringic took care of you here, so enjoy the music! I already have Stripped Down and Groovin On The Inside and probably, because I like real cases and covers, I'll buy the rest of Steve's albums at some point. And I have the download of Christian's new EP, but it's nice to get my hands on the Christian stuff that you can't buy anymore.
Annieaythia on August 16th, 2010 07:09 pm (UTC)
Oh yes, they are SO cute together. And I might the Chris/Jensen ship as well but still.. omg CHRIS! So damn hot.. and his voice.. oh goooood.. *whimper*
dodger_sister: zombieisland-bloodyretrododger_sister on August 19th, 2010 05:04 am (UTC)
I might have gotten some new music and freaked out and posted like a crazy person, lol. I was excited. (I might be listening to some of my new Steve music right now. Maybe.) I was up until like 5am listening to the new music and sleep is hard when your brain is all like "Christian! Steve! Christian/Steve!"

I'm not kidding, I was listening to the Christian music I got my hands on and every single song made me want to write Chris/Jensen like Whoa. Every song gave me a story idea (except for the Live in London album because that is all Chris/Steve). I might have a stack of new fic ideas that I will never actually write because apparently I'm just going to lay around and listen to my new music. ;)

You keep talking about your new Chris/Jensen-love but when, I ask you, when will we see some Chris/Jensen fic from you? You work your way up to that, but I want some from you at some point. Do you hear me, missy? K. Great. ;)
Annieaythia on August 19th, 2010 05:53 am (UTC)
Oh my god! I write J2 and... *sigh* Okay, one day I will TRY to write C/J... okay? I promise

Ha! Something tells me I'm not the only person bugging you about this lately. Awesome. We're gonna start a support group - People For Getting Aythia To Write Christian/Jensen Slash.

Isn't it your birthday right now?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Now go away. I'm not working on anything for you!
