Author's Notes: I honest-to-god need to start making these notes when I write the actual fic because I don’t remember what inspired this one; an interview, a conversation with a friend, or just the general image of Jensen stripping off his shirt popping unbidden into my head. But I like it!
It was his third day on set before Misha was joined by anyone else in the wardrobe trailer. Jared and Jensen usually had a much earlier call-time than he did and he didn’t mind. It gave him time to get zen with his character and the clothes helped a lot with that.
On the third day though, there was no getting zen with anything.
He came up the trailer steps just as the door swung open and Jared came bounding out.
“Hey, man,” Jared said cheerfully and clapped Misha on the shoulder as he walked past.
“Hey,” Misha muttered, because that was honestly all he had to offer at this god-awful early hour of the morning.
When he went inside, Jensen was standing there among a row of racks and hanging clothes.
“Morning,” Jensen said without looking over.
“Morning,” Misha muttered at him.
Jensen did look over then and let that brilliant smile of his creep across his face. “I see you are a worse morning person than I am.”
Misha just grunted and then tried not to spasm all over himself when Jensen laughed, a deep and pleasing sound to Misha’s ears.
“I think your clothes are on that chair,” Jensen told him and motioned in the direction of a small red chair in the corner of the room.
Misha started to say ‘thank you’ then, but didn’t quite get the words out before Jensen was pulling his own shirt up and over his head.
He knew it was rude to stare, which was why Misha wasn’t staring.
Except that he was, because then Jensen was smiling and raising his eyebrows.
“Hi, there,” he said and Misha jerked back, eyes snapping up to Jensen’s face.
“What?” Misha asked and it came out more a squeak than actual words.
“You good?” Jensen asked.
“Uh, yes,” Misha said, though he knew he was as red as the damn Canadian flag.
Jensen just stood there staring at Misha and Misha just stood there staring at Jensen and finally Misha snapped and broke the awkward silence.
“What?” he asked as innocently as possible, though his voice came out loud and abrupt in the silence of the room.
Jensen just grinned and motioned at Misha, before answering, voice smooth and low, rising from his throat like some sort of siren’s song, “Your turn now.”
Misha startled - looking away and then back again at Jensen’s half-smirk of delight - before wondering if it would be at all possible to drag this role out for a few episodes longer than originally planned. And to maybe get early morning calls more often.
Because Misha could already tell - he was definitely going to like it here.
