Babieeeeesss!
So, lindahoyland asked for pictures of Pippin, after hearing several stories about him that basically described how adorable and cute he is. (which he is!) So I thought I'd post some quick pics of all the babies for my Pig 'N A Post #2!

Back in '99, my cat, Audrey (Papa Bear) knocked up my sister's cat, Zippo, and they had four kittens; Whispa (that my mom still has), Roo, Krycek (Buddy) and Muggins (that a neighbor took in). I took Papa & Buddy with me to the apartment when I moved in with my sister and Roo ended up living in Mom's barn. I thought he'd adjust and start coming inside more, but then my mom got a dog and Roo just never took to her after that. The first year Sis and I lived in our house we have now, my mom ended up in the hospital. At the same time, Roo got sick. The vet said he would need a week of medicine and we couldn't ask Mom's roommate to do it, since Mom was in the hospital, so we brought him home to administer the medicine. We've kept him ever since. He was wild from having spent three years as an outdoor cat, but he has adjusted remarkably well. Then a few months after that, my aunt found 3 week old Pippin & Kirk in the road, just tossed out on the street, and brought them to our guest-room while we tried to figure out what to do with them. 5 years later and we still have them. Since then, both Papa and Zippo have passed away, leaving us with two 15 year old boys, Roo & Buddy, and two 5 year old boys, Pippin & Kirk.

Here are some pictures of the boys!

I have like a hundred more photos to transfer from my IPad to my desktop computer, but these are the best of the ones I managed to get transferred tonight. Aren't they the sweetest babies ever?!

ETA: I just made this post about how cute they are, got into bed, then immediately had to get up again because Buddy was growling at Kirk because Kirk was standing to close to Buddy's cat-mat and then Pippin came in all interested in what we were doing and wanting to get in on the fun and I just wanted to go back to bed! Whew. They are cute, but tiring.

Thank you! I swear, we really did try to get rid of some of them, even managed to give Pippin away at first, but then the people brought him back! Fate had just decided we were keeping all the cats! lol We have made a deal now that when the older two pass away, then we will get two more sibling kittens and then so on and as each set passes away. That is the deal Sis and I made with each other. I am sure it will be thrown right out the window the next time a little baby stray comes wandering into our backyard! ;)

Well hopefully you don't have to replace ANY of them (wishful thinking, I know).

Awww, thanks! They give me warm fuzzies too! On my computer, upside-down Pippin is tagged as 'Pippin flirts obscenely". lol He loves belly rubs too! He likes it if you say you are going to 'eat his belly up' and then give him kisses all over his stomach. ;)

You are very welcome! I'd been meaning to put up a picspam of cuteness for awhile, so thanks for the nudge to do it! And Pippin loves you too! Because Pippin loves everyone! He is the friendliest cat in the whole world - I've never met a cat who loves people as much as he does! <3

How is it possible that these boys are 5?? I remember when they were so very tiny and brand new and stink-bombed me and the BFF awake when we were all sharing the guest room!

Weird! I just remembered the late-night convo the BFF and I had where I confided that I thought I was pregnant but it turned out that I actually wasn't but like two months later I took another test and realized I'd managed to get pregnant in the meantime even though I hadn't had a period, and so by the time I figured out I actually WAS pregnant and called my doctor's office and they were like, "when was your last period?" all I could say was, "Crap, like April or something? Fuck if I know how pregnant I might be!"</p>

Ahem. All of this to say, holy shit how are these tiny babies even older than my big guy?? And also <3<3<3

LOL Yeah, their poo smelled when they were little! We probably should have bottle fed them for longer, oops. But they LOVE you and they stink up your room just for you, as a present, to show their love!! ;) But yeah, we got them in the early spring of 2009, one year after we got the house, so yep, five now! It feels so weird to me that we have had them that long - we still call them the 'babies'.

LOL. But see I can't believe your boy is so big and talking up a storm and so hilarious and awesome and BIG (did I mention that?) when it seems like just yesterday we took the trip to see you and meet him for the first time!

Awww, they miss you too! I swear, if you walked in the door right now, Pippin would lose his little mind. He'd be all, "My friend! My friend!" :)

Kitty post! OMG your babies are adorable and they have great names. They are really cute looking.

Its so nice of you and your sister to take them in and look after them, I always find it so sad when you hear about cats being dumped. Just take them to a shelter if you can't handle them people!(People not treating animals right is a real problem for me)

Pippin is as cute as I imagined him from the story you told, I like his bow!

Also posting it all here so I don't spam you with three posts in one day.
I read about your grandmother, I'm so sorry, that is terrible. I have a huge fear of the idea of someone being in my home and I can't imagine how scary it actually is, so unsettling. And loosing things with sentimental value. I'm so sorry for your families run of bad luck and you all will be in my thoughts, I'll be sending all the positive vibes I have to you guys.

Hoping your luck changes and lots of good things happen to make up for it a little (I know nothing can magic away what happened, but I think there should be a balance. You guys have had your share of crap, you deserve lots of happy)

Kitty post! OMG your babies are adorable and they have great names. They are really cute looking.

Kitty Posts are the best! Thank you! Their names have interesting little stories to them: Krycek was named that because he was born during an episode of The X-Files, but somehow he ended up nicknamed Buddy and now we call him Buddy most of the time and Krycek when I am yelling at him. ;) Roo was named 'Roo' because Zippo couldn't get him unattached from her cord when he was first born and I joked that he was like a kangaroo wanting to stay in his mommy's pouch. Pippin was originally named Elanor, for the oldest of Samwise Gamgee's hobbit kids in LOTR and then renamed when we realized he was a boy and not a girl! And Kirk was named for Star Trek because we ended up giving them the names the same weekend the first Star Trek reboot movie came out and we really really liked the new Jim Kirk!

Its so nice of you and your sister to take them in and look after them, I always find it so sad when you hear about cats being dumped. Just take them to a shelter if you can't handle them people!(People not treating animals right is a real problem for me)

We are also big on animal rights and anti-animal abuse and for adopting from shelters and stuff. it's a big cause of my sister's actually. Poor Kirk and Pippin were literally tossed out of a moving car - one of the neighbor kids saw it happen and didn't realize it had been animals, thought the person had been tossing garbage out of the open car door. But it was our poor sweet babies. ;(

Pippin is as cute as I imagined him from the story you told, I like his bow!

My sister was so psyched you liked his bow - it's his fancy dress up bowtie and he preens and shows off whenever we put it on him! :)

Thank you so much, babe! That reminds me I need to check in with Grandma today and make sure the security system got installed okay. I think, like you said, the violation of people being in her home was the worst part about it.

Hoping your luck changes and lots of good things happen to make up for it a little (I know nothing can magic away what happened, but I think there should be a balance. You guys have had your share of crap, you deserve lots of happy)

I try to remember there are good things happening for the family too - like my brother buying his first house and my cousin getting engaged, but when your grandmother gets robbed in her own home it is hard to think anything good about the world. Thank you for the support and love, babe!

BTW, how did the kidney test go? Did they find anything or have any answers for you yet? xxx my fingers for you!

Those are perfectly chosen names <3 I like the stories behind them!

Thrown out of a car? That is horrible. People like that make my blood boil. I met a cat near my doctors. I've cuddled her a few times before, she is so friendly, she runs in front of you and lays in your path so you have to stop and play. Recently I met her owner and found out she was a rescue cat, someone chucked her out when she got pregnant, like it wasn't their fault for not spaying her! I was so glad she'd ended up with a good home, she is such a loving animal, literally all she wants is cuddles.

I hope getting the alarm put in helps your Grandma feel more secure in her home, it is so hard to be positive about the world when things like that have happened, if you need to vent I'm always around.

I have one more test to go I think. And then I get the results of all of them late August (crappy hospital, this is them when the tests were ordered rushed) The test was weird, the stuff they injected made my nose and throat feel like it was on fire! It was so strange. Still bruised up! If it's the same problem as before it's treatable. I just want to know so I can start working towards getting it fixed. Well as fixed as my kidneys can be, years of infection has left them scared and damaged. Thanks bb xxx

p.s It is adorable that he likes wearing his bow!

Thank you! They actually are pretty good posers - Pippin especially. He seems to understand that a camera is something to flirt with. lol Oh Kirk's eyes are so big too - I need to dig up some pics of them when they were just like 6 weeks old because I swear, Kirk was just a pair of eyes with a tail attached to them at the time. ;) <3s
