Fic: These Three Words - H50, PG, Steve/Danny, Angst, Episode-Fic

Just a little drabble I wrote way back in S2 of Hawaii Five-O. Follow up to Ki'ilua, the one where Steve is in North Korea.

Title: These Three Words
Author: The Artful Dodger / dodger_sister
Fandom: Hawaii Five-O
Category: Angst, Drabble, Episode-Fic
Characters/Pairing: Steve/Danny
Rating: PG
Warnings: None.
Spoilers: S2E10 “Ki'ilua”.
Summary: Steve’s thoughts when Danny comes for him in North Korea.
Word Count: 108 words.
Date Written: 11/24/2011
Disclaimer: H50, not mine, story, mine, profit, none.
Feedback: Bring it. dodger_sister /
Beta’d: Nope.
Author's Notes: In response to a post-episode ramble by queenklu, including but not limited to - “and then he sees Danny, and he can't quite--because he wants it to be true so much it can't be, he could have a concussion, what if he's dreaming, what if he's lost his mind…”
Dedication: To queenklu, she knows why!

"Where's Wo Fat?"

Those were the three words Steve said, but they weren't the three words he meant. He couldn't quite say them, because a part of him didn't believe this wasn't another hallucination. In his hallucinations, Danny was usually wearing a button-down and tie or Steve's STYX tee that Danny slept in sometimes, but he never looked like this and he was never trembling so hard either. If this was a hallucination...well, Steve didn't need to be wasting those three words on anyone except the real Danny.

Those three words were the hardest thing for Steve to say to anyone, but the real Danny already knew anyways.

The End
