Plus it almost all synced up and transferred too, so I have everything just the way it was on the old one. The only problems thus far are some apps that allowed use of the accessibility features (i.e. larger text size) on my old one, don't seem to on my new one, so I'm struggling to read a lot of stuff. That feature is why I decided to stick with the screen size I had instead of bumping up to a 12inch.
The other thing is that two of the games didn't transfer their data. It's My Talking Tom and My Talking Angela. Based on the game where the cat repeats you, only in this version you can also dress him, feed him, bathe him, play mini games, buy him clothes. And in the Angela one, even do makeup! And they cry at you if you leave them too long, because they get hungry or tired and need you to care for them. They won't die if you don't, but it's sad to hear them make these little cries if you leave them too long.
I named mine Watson and Cordelia and I have been playing them every single day for 2+ years now. I think I missed one day when I was too sick to even feed them. But when you first sign on initially, it asks your birth year and I was like, "What? Fuck off!" and put in some random year. Apparently the date I put in was under the age limit and it clicked on parental controls because it thought I was a kid and so I can't connect to Game Center, which is how you transfer the data in these two games. I emailed them and they can't help, because once parental controls are on, they are locked forever.
I am retiring the old IPad to be just for the niblings (turned off wifi and messages, etc) but there is no way to transfer my cat children. So I have to put them 'to rest'. I've watched them grow (literally, they actually grow and age) from tiny babies into adults and because I'm a nerd, I made up personalities and jobs and hobbies based on their mini games and clothes (Watson works for NASA and he cosplays and Cordelia works for the NSA and is a video game nerd and has pet fish). I know it's just a game, but damn, I love my little cat children.
I did a photo shoot with them in some of my favorite outfits and as soon as I'm ready, I'll put them to bed one last time.
